(Toronto, Canada) - Xybo Systems, a wireless software platform and application developer, is announcing the development and deployment of "pay-per-use" data service for MyMovies.ca.
MyMovies.ca is offering entertainment news, show times, reviews and ratings to the movie goers through both regular web browsers and WAP-enabled devices. These services are available today through Telus Mobility's Surf and Surf-A-Lot menus. Mobile users who do not subscribe to the Surf or Surf-A-Lot today will soon be able to access these premium services on a "pay-per-use" basis. Xybo's micropayment interface to Telus Mobility's billing system allows data service providers like MyMovies.ca to offer products and services to mobile users easily. End customers enjoy the convenience of purchasing through their phone bills and not having to worry about credit cards, and other authorization issues.
"Our service (MyMovies.ca) will be available to more than 360,000 wireless users across Canada," said Kel Ferris, Partner of MyMovies.ca. "Mobile users and movie goers can now lookup such information easily and conveniently using their cell phones whenever and whereever at much less than the cost of a newspaper or a toll call," he adds.

"Our system interfaces with carriers' billing system in a secured manner to enable transactions directly on cell phone's account. It means there's no bank or credit card company in the middle.
