(Toronto, Canada) - Xybo Systems, a developer of server software for extending enterprise operations and applications to the wireless Internet, today announced the launch of Tribute.Ca's wireless site - wap.tribute.ca.
Starting today, the mobile public will be able to use their wireless Internet-enabled device to access theatre and movie times for over 300 theatres across Canada. In addition, users have the option of entering a contest to win a prize. Tribute's service allows the mobile public to access theatre and movie times from anywhere, anytime, and from any wireless Internet device says Edward Fung, Xybo's CTO. Tribute's wireless site is advertised on their Internet site (www.tribute.ca) as well as made available to users through the Bell Mobility portal.
Xybo Systems used their core wireless technology - the Wireless Application Enabler - Enterprise Version 1.5 to develop and launch the wireless site. "Tribute had a very tight timeframe to launch the site and we achieved their deadline" says Raymond Ho, Xybo's President and CEO. Xybo developed and launched the site, including testing, within 1 ½ weeks. The site, as launched, represents the first phase of functionality. Other features that are possible using Xybo's platform include user notification as movies are released at their favorite theatre, search by movie, and movie and theatre descriptions.
