(Toronto, Canada) – Xybo Systems Inc, a Markham based wireless technology company, is announcing the release and deployment of SMS (Short Message Service) applications.
Xybo Systems is working with RedFlagDeals.com to provide SMS for Telus Mobility's users with bargain information. Telus' customers may join this service by signing up at myTelusMobility.com.
"The Xybo WAE platform is known as one of the quickest way to build WAP and wireless applications, however, few realizes SMS applications can easily be built using the same platform," Mike Arduo, a Technical Specialist at Xybo. "Since the revenue sharing opportunity with the carriers was available through our platform (Xybo's Wireless Application Enabler), there has been increasing number of interests to turn their (data vendors) existing applications and data into SMS applications," he adds.
SMS applications provide the users up-to-date information in the form of short messages. These short messages are "pushed" to the users' cell-phones, PDAs or even email addresses. Because SMS is simple and easy to understand, there has been a tremendous increase in SMS popularity around the world.
